Disc and pad change PPP set
So I had to chance the brakes after a track day and high speed event
I put new pads on before the track day
Maybe done a total of 800 miles
Pads and discs are MB PPP sets
I also put new pins in the calipers as the old ones bent on removal and although I straightened them out i wanted new ones.
Discs and pads with sensor £869 from eBay (plus another £175 for another set of pads)
Pins £40ish from mb plus the discs screws
New vs old

No idea I brought the car 3k miles ago
The discs were from then I changed the pads for the track and high speed event and this was their condition after
The groves were completely worn and as you can see cracks in the drilled holes

Nice! Looks like you definitely needed the update lol. Any chance you can PM or paste the link in a reply of the link you used for those rotors and pads off ebay? I have an idea of what auction you chose, but I just want to be sure.

Thanks for that. Was hoping it was the same auction I was looking at... They're similar in price. Trying to find a decent price on replacement rotors that aren't garbage or just look untrustworthy. I HAVE been tempted to buy the 2-piece Brembo rotors that are like $800-ish and mate them with either Porterfields or EBC pads. I've seen great reviews on the Porterfields but haven't really seen any in-depth reviews on the EBC pads. I'm shocked at that because of the price!

I can guarantee the pads were brand new I installed them to the old discs
This was 2 weeks before the track day
Which is why I got new retaining pins as they bent on removal
I did this as the disc is the main cost so I didn't fancy ruining a new set as well glad I did now
