Inside the M156 Engine

I expect that a lot of guys on these pages are familiar with these links but I wasn't and expect there are others out there who also haven't seen them.
If found them very informative and interesting.

I'm curious what the differences are with the different variations in horsepower? Did they change the camshafts, different cylinder heads? Just wondering what would account for the additional power from the same engine configuration.

The Tune. Mercedes limits the throttle opening on a normal C63. They open the throttle further on the P31. They also run more timing in the time.
On the face-lift cars, the P31 does have upgrade internals, but the power is from the time.

Very interesting considering that HPtuners now offers tuning for the C63's.

Makes me want a c63 now.

Once tuned, all versions make similar power.

My 507 with IPE headers is tuned with HPtuners.

No, injectors are in the intake manifold.

I sold my W204 C63 on t move to a somewhat rare R171 SLK55 AMG P30 but all things Benz interest me.
Some will know SPR Autos in the UK.
They just posted the first part of a customer's problem on a W204 C63 with a rough idle problem.
The car has 85000 mi on it and the conditions of the camshafts was amazingly poor for a 156 built by AGM. The head is damaged on the right side on #4 and the cam worn on #4 and #8 such that you can see it visibly.
Check it out on You Tube, Search SPR Autos.
Scary stuff.

Neither links no longer work (404 error code) so I guess they have been removed or deactivated

Be a cynic mate and lose out on finding something that could affect you if you have a car with a M156 engine.
If you took the time to read SPR is in the UK. I on the other hand am on Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada.
Why in hell would I advertise for them?
Since you are too lazy to look for yourself here is the link. You can apologize later.
