Just curious how much people are paying for insurance ? I feel like I'm getting killed. I have Geico and i'm paying 1106 /6mo for the C63 and another $330 for the civic. It comes out to be $245/mo. It doesn't help that i'm in New Mexico the uninsured motorist/illegal alien capital of the world.
Where are people finding the best deals ?

1150/ 6mo here through USAA. Feel like that's pretty solid as I'm 26 and live/work in LA so have similar issues with uninsured/illegal aliens. Max coverage, single car, married with no kids.
Highly recommend USAA if you're eligible.
Not that it'll help, but this tool lets you compare avg. premiums per zip code:

I am old (40's) but in boston area so fairly expensive and I am at around 900/year full coverage. I had an Audi S4 that I traded on the C63 and my insurance actually went down! I am using Ameriprise through Costco.

Well let's see. I am in British Columbia and we have options. All numbers are in Canuck bucks.
We must take basic public liability of $200000 from the provincial insurance corporation which also issues plate stickers.
We can either top up using ICBC or buy additional coverage from private insurers. My experience with the private guys is the premiums may be lower but their service sucks. ICBC was better at helping me with a hit and run property damage than my private insurer. I take all insurance from ICBC now.
I have $3 million public liability, uninsured motorist $2 million, collision with $300 deductible, comprehensive (road damage or my stupids etc.) $300 deductible (windshield $200) and roadside assistance. This costs me $1638 CDN annually.
This is a daily driver not driven to work.

Yikes Mate! Huge premium and huge deductible. If this is a daily driver would you be better off to buy a beater for that purpose?

Around $100/month for JUST the C63. The cost to insure the C63 is the same as my 04 Subaru STi (WTF?!?!? Either I am getting a great deal on the C63, or I am getting jacked on the STi)
$2 million liability
Daily driver
Glass coverage / collision / uninsured liability / theft fire etc etc etc.
All the bells and whistles
$200 deductible
But I also have 4 other cars insured along with my house as well (3 are DD drivers, 2 are not). TD insurance.

There wasn't a big jump at all between $500 and $200 so I went with $200.
There was no option for $1000 or $1500 deductibles.

I think I'm paying like 70 a month on the c63 so the savings alone with high deductible are well worth the risk.

Wow... this is crazy cheap. Are there any loopholes where I can get an older family member to insure it and just constantly "borrow the car" to drive? I mean, lets say you have a 20 year old in the family that you "live with". Wouldnt he be covered by this insurance, or does it spike up upon you declaring that there is going to be a young guy with a license under the same roof?
I do know this car was leased from MBC in Vancouver and driven by the son who attended school in SoCal. The premium his dad paid was the highest class at about $6000 for a year.

That not withstanding, $2000 US today is $2696 CDN so about $1348 for a newer car of lesser value and an older car with still high deductible.
In the end it don't matter. It is what it is. If I lived in downtown Vancouver my bet is I would pay more just because of the nature of driving there.
I also have a clean record which I fear may be in jeopardy with this car!

ICBC thinks I fit Ron James's description of the average driver in Victoria which is all you can see is a pair of knuckles, white hair and a steering wheel! Little do they know!!!!

You also have 5 cars on the policy.i only have 2 and I've put 7000 miles on the c63 in 2 years.ive also gone 15 years without any tickets or accidents so I went with the highest deductable possible.
I think I'm paying like 70 a month on the c63 so the savings alone with high deductible are well worth the risk.

$521/half for me through Travelers. Paired with Homeowners Ins and my son's cars which are $300/half each. One a 2000 Toyota Solara, the other a 2002 Lesabre. $1000 deductible. Both sons are under 25 - barely!

No your post was not clear. I see you drive and E55 so that would be a W211 which finished production in 2009 or a W210 which was its predecessor so it is 8-12 yr old depending on model. Age matters.
