are there differences in the fuse diagram depending on the year?

i've seen images that show the fuse box diagram with a list and i noticed a difference with my actual list that i found in the trunk. when i found the list on the forum and also while doing a google image search for c63 fuse diagram, i figured it would be the same but it's not. see attached files and you can see there are some differences.

another strange thing i noticed was a 10 amp fuse in the trunk fuse box numbered 91 (marked in red on diagram) is not on either list, not shown in the diagram, but it's there in the fuse box and it's always on when checked with a multimeter...

sorry for the blurry images

Sure there can be differences.

e.g. The AMG W211 has a very different fuse diagram from the non-AMG W211. And the AMG W211 has at least five different harnesses depending upon the build date.

Thus the importance of using the VIN to look up schematics.

Yes, It is possible to find different diagrams.
For example, the W164 ML has two or three fuse charts according to the production year, market and equipment. I have one diagram that shows the vehicle range the charts is applicable to, 15/7/2007 to 2009 or from chassis A3xxxxx to A4xxxxx.

differences from amg to non-amg i can understand... but these are differences from amg to amg i believe with just the year being different

I think I am the guy that gave you that diagram lol, which is the only one I have found, and worked for my purposes so far. I dont touch much in the way of German electronics. I could definitely see their being differences between PFL and FL, as they have different bells and whistles.

If this is about that illuminated star....just pay the dealership for the install lol. I think thats been the consensus in the other forums. Just not worth the headaches.

i saw your post on another thread but it didn't have to do with you... you just reminded me... i've seen the same fuse diagram in other places too... i didn't think it would be different until i was looking for the fuse for the obd port (diagnostic port)... and i thought it was weird that the port would work even after removing the fuse... it wasn't until i located my own fuse diagram that i saw it was a different fuse...

I tend to lean to 604's thinking. FL may have a different schematic because as he noted there are more bells and whistles than PFL.
