Transmission issues on Facelift C63

Transmission issues on Facelift C63
I've had ongoing issues where right after initial start up, the 2nd-3rd gear change would 'jump' or 'slip'. It would only happen during that first gear change, then would shift normally through the rest of the drive. Only seemed to do it when engine was cold. Took it in to the dealer, and they couldn't find anything wrong. Reset codes, adaptations, etc. Problem never really went away.
I had the transmission service completed a couple weeks ago, which also didn't solve the issue... Until today, this was the only issue I was having, but this afternoon I got in my car after it sat for an hour or so and in Comfort mode, the shifting was incredibly lagged and erratic. It was rough and felt like it couldn't decide which gear it needed to be in. Eventually, it got better. Happened again an hour ago after the car sat. This time, I put it in M mode to see if the problem still happened, it didn't. Only seems to happen in C,S,S+...
I have a trip to the dealer scheduled for tomorrow to see what they can find. Of course, my warranty ran out 3 weeks ago. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of threads that show issues to this transmission, but from what I can find, it looks like the valve body is the bigger ticket item that can go, and is an issue for the 722.9 model. I've read that some of the issues are bad solenoids, which can be replaced independently in some cases, but others call for a complete new valve body that can run $2,500+... I'd obviously like to avoid something like that, but does anyone have any experience with the issues I have and what repairs have been done to alleviate them? I would imagine that replacing the individual solenoids would be a lot cheaper than that. I'm hoping it is a software issue, and not a hardware issue.
I will see if I can snap a short video of it happening this evening.
TIA

Yeah, the transmission is basically identical to the PFL. The only real difference is the clutch system. It's still a 722.9 design, which is used in a lot of models so I don't think the valve body would be out of the question.
I just tried to take a video and of course I couldn't recreate the issue this time... I did that 'ECU reset' with the throttle before I got out last time (I still have yet to see real evidence that this actually works). I may try to take another vid first thing in the morning once the car is completely cooled down.
