minimal hesitation when stop at traffic lights.

Hello,

Been noticing sometimes when I slowed down at traffic light and stop. I get a very minimal hesitation from the gearbox when it trying to go to 1st gear?(complete stop at traffic lights).

The slight jerk is not noticeable but I can felt it just a bit. But most of the time, its ok. Stop & go traffic e.g Traffic jam- it's ok(No jerk or what so ever) It only when I drive normal speed & stop at the traffic lights. I do occasionally get the slight jerk/ hesitation but not every time.

Ideas?

i'm at 26k KM & planning to bring it in at 35k service & will ask about this.

Does the car have a tune? If the car does, it is pretty normal.

What mode do you usually drive in (C, S, S+, M)?

The ECU is re flash to have more HP according to the ex owner & the car is equip with full IPE exhaust system.

When I send my car to the Benz dealer few months back to have the radio fix- They reprogram the car entertainment system with their laptop diagnostic tools. They said my ECU is already modified etc.

The car usually does City driving- So I just use comfort mode most of the time.

I wouldn't worry too much about it then. The car will lurch a little bit depending on the speed and when the car feels like shifting.

Happens to my car too. Usually around 1k-2k in second downshifting into first into engine braking. I suspect maybe too much juice on the rev match and then too much resistance from engine brake, causing a slight juke.

Did you start noticing that after you flashed your tune?

Nope, happened before it too. It's not noticible if I'm downshifting while braking or if I downshift and then accelerate. Only downshift into coasting produces this, so I'm pretty sure it's okay. I highly suspect the little juke is just due to the increased deceleration from engine braking at 1st instead of 2nd, with a moment in between where the "clutch" is disengaged during the rev match.
