Advice Needed: Hydraulic Lifter Replacement

Guys i need some Advice.

My 2009 C63 has developed a loud camshaft noise on startup. I am pretty sure it is the camshaft and they will be replaced.
After startup my car sometimes still has a very subtle ticking noise that goes away almost immediately after driving. I know the ticking exists because its there sometimes and not there sometimes.

Question:
Is it possible that this is the Camshaft adjuster and not the Lifters?
If it is the lifters, are they easily replaceable by removing the camshafts and using a sucker to pull them?
or does the engine head have to be removed to reassemble the lifters?

How many km? It's likely the cam adjusters rattling. Cold start or hot start?

Its approximately 80,000 kilometers.

honestly it doesn't matter. The loud start up noise is on obviously a cold start because of the nature of a cold startup being a high rpm start.
the noise is lower on hot startups but always always exists.
the ticking noise however is very spoardic. Sometimes is there and sometimes isnt but goes away after driving a little bit.

still curious if valve lifters needs the engine head to be removed? Or easy fit?

My engine is quiet with shell rotella T6 5w40.

Lifters will pop out with heads on and cams removed.

Thanks. Will the new lifters also fit without removing the head?

no Mobil 1. Using liqui Moly hightech (something lichetlauf) 5w40. Heard good reviews about that. i live in Dubai. No Shell T6 here
