I used to have an N54 135i and it had a blacked out trim package instead of chrome trim. I looked on google and i see some cars with black trim...could be vinyl wrap tho...perhaps someone knows if its an option or not...good luck
This is a WAG - wild *** guess.
The stock sedans I see around here in the FL W204s have a chrome belt line molding, a piece that runs up the A pillar from the belt line , along the roof and back down to the beltline on the front of the C pillar.
My 2013 C63 sedan has all this in black.
I suspect chrome is classic but I cannot be sure.
I have seen some Pre Fl cars with the chrome. I kind of like the look.

I think a lot of the blacks are wrapped or painted. I'm trying to replace the pieces due to a hack job by the previous owner. If I can get it in black from the factory that would be ideal because then I wouldn't have to do anything but install them.
