Agency power headers?
Hi all,
I went through all previous post about agency power headers and all of them seem to go off track really quick.
I am about to buy a lightly used set from someone local to me for $1500 which is a great buy, but I'm trying to find out the following:
1. AP collector is detachable by design and not welded which makes nervous about exhaust leaks.
2. 4-1 design versus 4-2-1 design power gain difference?
3. Someone mentioned on the old posts about the collector not being after the last bend???
Anyone with experience with these headers please chime in!

1. True. I don't think people have issues with leaking on the slip fit.
2. 4-1 for AP headers. 4-2-1 is just different. There are more factors that go into a header design and if it makes power than that. AP headers make plenty of power.
3. True. They are not TRUE long tube headers since the collector is just before the last bend.

Wont have issues with the merge collectors being slip fit. They dont leak.
AP / IPE Same headers = Make 7-10 WHP Less then the MBH setup.
For that price, its worth the shot. I have had mine for almost 4 years now with no issues.

1) the collector is detachable from the runners. I believe this is for easier install. It's a pretty tight engine bay. when my mech installed he told me he just installed with a little hi temp gasket paste for good measure. All good so far.
2) here is a general video link to help explain 2 different styles. End of the day tho it's personal preference.
3) Correct. And if true LTH is something you really want than you should look into MBH or ARH. But sound and power gain from AP headers I'm sure is all fairly close.
Aside from this, be sure to order new exhaust gaskets and header nuts as these nuts are only for one time. They are fairly cheap and required to insure a proper install.
Are you only buying the headers? Does this come with 2ndary cat delete mid section pipes?

I have blown the collectors apart with the blower before on multiple occasions so we gave them a little weld and never had that issue again
but since then i have MBH now

Your resonator and stock mufflers should keep it toned down a bit. But it will defiantly be louder over stock.
Good luck man. Either way I'm sure you'll enjoy the new sound and the extra bit of power that goes along with it. ðŸ‘

Stock mufflers wont tone them down, they get pretty loud with the stock mufflers.
Resonator will help a bit, but still loud.
