It wasn't about which one of us can get down the road quicker... It was weather or not he could trap/ET the way he has been claiming and bashing everyone on his way there. That's where my problem lies with him. It has been going on for a while now and I called him on it. Yet, he still reacts like the child he is so I rescinded my offer because at this point I wouldn't even want to have a drink with someone like that.
Think about it... I basically offered him free money and he just spit on it with that ego. That ego, by the way, which would have been super inflated because could you imagine the internet fame? Dude keeps ripping on AMG community, community says put your money where your mouth is... And then he does. Jalopnik / YouTube all day long. Simple minded individuals like himself don't have that kind of foresight though...
He's still practically begging me in PMs at this point to put money up. He called me petty and is going on about $5-$10k. I misjudged thinking a few grand would lure this pleb in and I could have a little fun with such a basic pawn. Call it, entertainment for me. But it went from fun to annoying, so not quite worth it anymore. Besides, it's just money... His earning potential was already $3-4k, not to mention online hits, and then only bumps it another grand anyway?
It was literally just hush money and to move on. Now, it's nothing.
At this point, I think I honestly just feel bad for him. I mean, the continuous PM's and all...
Truth be told, I hope he hits the numbers / times he has been claiming. It is actually a good thing for the community and leads to that extra ambition and drive which is why we all ended up here in the first place which leads to new innovations and faster cars. It'll be fun to watch him rub it in everyone's face, even at my own expense. But, living in FL with bad weather, or whatever other excuse he has, I have a feeling we'll be waiting some time for that.
