Car with not turn over with key
My car starts fine with keyless go and key fob but will not start with the key inserted into the ignition. It will turn but the engine is not cranking over, no lights and no sound. I have replaced the key fob batteries a few weeks ago. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated.

Are you the original owner of the car? If not, maybe the previous owner got a new key and for some reason didn't program the ignition bc the car has keyless? I don't have keyless go, so I'm completely spitballing here.

To buy a key you must go to a dealer and be the registered owner of the car.
They will cross check ownership and take close to $500 from you which is not refundable.
They will order a key from Germany that comes with its specific code to match the original key. You take the car in, they sync it you sign for it and you are done. Keys bought this way are guaranteed for 2 yr.

If so try the other key.
Only other thing I can suggest us see a dealer.

Thank you both.
I am not the original owner but I am the current registered owner. There is only one key came with this car when I purchased it.
Alex.currie44, are you saying the only way to fix this is to switch to a new key and it will cost $500 from the dealership?

The keys have a rolling code so the fact that the car starts with the Keyless Go tells me the car and key are matching up each time you want to start it so there is something in the mechanical action of twisting the key that is not telling the computer to roll the engine. That's as far as I can take the thought. You may have a faulty switch in the dash.
