Re read the post man...it was hyperbole to make the point that the car drives much better and it got a measurable performance boost.

Ill post drag times when I have slips. Not as though it matters....its not like these are super fast cars. We are talking about fun daily drivers.

Your 1/8 mile mph matters in this scenario because the speed that you say you are trapping does not match your horsepower numbers. Trap speed speaks louder than dyno numbers...

Let's be honest here, while 10 horsepower gain over your previous dyno number is good, 10 hp isn't that noticeable when you are saying your v5 numbers were 447.

I know the OP has put out some numbers that are questionable/incorrect but what he is mostly saying is that he is happy with the response and overall drivability of the car. Glad you like the new tune OP

I also did the v7, but I had nothing but problems. it threw a check engine code. it was double shifting at shift points. gear shifting was a little ruff. I also have mbh headers though so idk if the tune only works on stock cars for now but I had nothing but issues I had to flash back to the v6

This would be valuable info for EC did you let them know and give them an opportunity to fix it ?

I also have the V7 tune ive had it for 3 weeks now and it is totally a different car over the v6 tune.. the difference it made on my car would be like going from Comfort mode to Sport+ & sport handling.. it totally woke up the car and is alot more refined than the V6 tune..

Mods-Fi exhaust Long Tube Headers(catless), resonators & mufflers still in place, Weistec HighFlow Filters, V7 Beta Tune

Can you elaborate on this more? I just don't get it. The V6 and all other EC tunes have been killer so what exactly happens with this V7 that's making everyone say "it feels like a different" car?

OP states 10WHP gain. That's not a different car. All of these statements just aren't adding up and I literally don't know what's what anymore.

What is so different than the V6? Can you please provide a detailed description?

Then you also mentioned refined. Again, what does this mean? In what way?

For me, V5 as a great tune, V6 not so much, never loved it, tune did not feel as refined, sometimes a bit jerky and transmission didn't seem to get along with it perfectly. I find V7 beta to be much smoother, feels more refined, my car feels much happier and the transmission seems more in sync with what the engine is doing and not as confused as it seems on V6.

No idea if it is making more power, but the power delivery feels much better and more linear and like someone else said, it takes less throttle input to spin the wheels an it spins at times it has never before. Throttle feels more crisp and direct I guess is a good way to put it.

To me it feels like a very nice progression from V5 (V6 to me is like that every other version of windows, like windows 8, should have just skipped it!)

For me the dyno showed a jump from 415 whp and 383 wtq with V6 to 443 whp and 403 wtq on v7. The car has a very strong mid range and more power and tq throughout the RPM band. Comfort mode feels like S+ on v7 and S+ and M with the v7 shows a significant increase of power with instant throttle response. The v7 has livened up the car and made a noticeable difference.

So you gained nearly 30 whp going from one version of a tune to another version of a tune?

That makes me think the dynoing conditions were different, or the first V6 tune was ****ed up.

Yeah I find that pretty unbelievable, unless EC sent a **** V6 file to make the V7 tune seem that much better.

That would be pretty hard since I got the v6 tune in Feb and the v7 last month.

So you genuinely think that after 6 iterations, a missing 30 whp was found?
