Hello,

I just notice I have this whine looks like an alternator whine sound.

I did a search on this forum. It seems 1 member have that problem. But to have MB pull out the motor is too extreme case for me.

I will bring it to a Indy guy to hear it for opinion. At driving-The whine sound is gone and will reappear once at lower speed like you stop at the lights or entering the junction.

This is when I rev it at idle- You can hear that whining sound


At low speed.


This morning at the hotel entrance- I happen to saw a ML500 with that same whine sound at idle too.

So I wonder what it can be? My car milage is 28k km.

I have this too, maybe its normal.

Reading multiple posts about this whining sound (which me car has as well) I'm starting to think it could be absolutely normal. I haven't read about a single case where someone had found a remedy.
