But my primary reason wasn't for hotter exhaust gas or better flow, it was to lower my engine temps. It's doing both so I'm not complaining!

On the other hand, I'm going to my local exhaust shop to put resonators back on to try and tame the sound a bit. Revved it downtown last night and it sounds like a war zone. The sound is so powerful.... I'm basically driving around a bomb with wheels (in sound department)
Putting the resonators back on isn't going to do jack. This is just what it's like to have headers. Get used to it.

it's a bit too raspy and not very refined. Lots of different higher pitched frequencies that I want to get rid of. I love the volume and NASCAR sound at over 3k

will try to... a few different phone cameras I used couldn't capture the sound because it was too loud or something.

This actually happened to a friend of mine many years ago on his Impreza STi

It was a sad night....

It sounds incrementally more 'refined' with an X-pipe but the sheer volume is still there.

I took my x-pipe out and the car doesn't sound 'nice' anymore like a stock car. It sounds like an old school Camaro...which I actually do like tbfh.

I might try some work on the exhaust before the autumn kicks in over here, but time and good weather are always hard to come by for me.

Those Magnaflow cats are trash as the longevity isn't there. When you end up replacing them go with some 200 cell HJS high flow cats.

Otherwise it sounds like a nice set up! Some videos would be nice (better than none).

Vid here: it's the best I got.

https://youtu.be/vDUHx8QJhBw

The black car in front at the end is a Honda Accord. Watching the vid had me so confused until I rewatched a few times. I knew for sure I was not that close to the filmer at the end because I was exiting the lot. Turns out my car is actually making that sound from distance (2nd black car slightly farther away at 0:44). Ultimate photobomb by the accord that looks sneaky similar. Could rebadge to mb Coupe lol.

These magnaflows are working a bit better with almost 500km, of mostly hard driving, on them since the install. Would like confirmation (or educated guesses) on these two questions please!

- Do these aftermarket low cell cats take a bit of use before they start working properly?
- How bad is the reliability of stainless magnaflow 3" cats? Will I be replacing them soon?

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have tried to grab other sound clips but so far a lot of videos either go silent (due to the high decibals?) or are just bad quality. Will try to get a flyby for you boys.

5 dyno runs in the zip. I believe run 2 is the benchmark (485) and run 5 is the peak HP run (499.82).
