Navigation - saving destinations unsuccessful
I recently bought a 09 C63 with navigation. When I try to save locations to the address book, I get the following error:
"saving procedure unsuccessful"
I have done a factory reset of the system, and also disconnected the battery for 2 hours but no change. I scanned the car with my Xentry system and noticed that the car displays the Navigation version as 'Europe 2007-2008'. However the car has US maps loaded, which work fine. I couldn't find a way in Xentry to change the configuration to US or North America.
1. Any ideas how this could have happened? Previous owner installed a replacement head unit from Europe and it needs a firmware update to USA maybe?
2. Would me buying the current 2017 v17 DVD update fix this issue?
3. Where do I put the DVD to do the upgrade?
