Collision on front right
It's the best photo I could get at the time.
I know it's going to be a costly repair. The car still starts and runs fine, the passenger side door still opens with no issues. Both wheels still turn, no airbags were deployed, all internal electronics still work. I'm wondering what everyone thinks if the car is repairable or if it will be totaled.

There is a distinct possibility that the frame rail extensions are bent, the core support bent etc and wiring torn up. The headlights on the E in 2006 were 2 grand (CDN$$ Jim) each. I needed 2. You need at least one.
It can be repaired right down to the labels at a cost. In 2006 OEM parts alone for the E were $28000 and it was off the road for 8 weeks.
The insurance company insisted so it went to a shop which I had confidence in which was a mistake. As things turned out they lacked the proper straightening bench to bring it back to MB standards and skills to reinforce it. Getting it aligned was a ***** and from the day I got it back it tended to drift left which is dangerous. We finally get it close enough that with 2-3 psi more pressure in the left front it was manageable. Not perfect but manageable.
A bill of that size will get reported and while the value of your car to YOU is ok, the fact is if a buyer does his due diligence he will find its records and you will get maybe 50-60% of its value if it was undamaged.
My advice is don't play their game. Fight for a settlement based on your ability to replace it with like and kind and move on.
