Took it to the dealer and turned out to be a bad valve body. They replaced it and as they were setting the adaptations they also noticed a IM vacuum leak (common issue). They are finishing up the car and I will pick it up today. Luckily my 3rd party warranty covered everything expect the fluids so total out of pocket is $330.
Great news man. Congrats Fingers crossed it all works out ok.

Update on my own car, tbh i think it's just a bit of random winter drama....clearly the car doesn't like being woken up in freezing temps, but otherwise it's actually just fine. A little sluggish when super, super cold, but otherwise fine.

My 2009 c350 is having the same tranny issue, did you get a check engine light on the valve body?

The warranty is called Elite warranty and seems to be a part of Marathon Administrative Co Inc. phone number 1-800-434-2778. They have to date covered the following
1. Replace both fuel sending units along with all fittings, seals, etc.
2. Replace a weeping lower oil pan leak and fluids
3. Valve body, syncros, and all others parts that come as part of the rebuild. (Did not cover trans fluid)
4. Vacuum leak on intake manifold, new gaskets, seals, etc.

Total out of pocket for all of these repairs have been ~$450. Total cost of repairs without warranty would have been ~ $5200.00

I paid ~ $3800 (based on my memory) for the warranty and runs to 100k or 2021.

@Cruel-Merc No, just hard downshifts and slightly slower upshifts.....
