You can also alleviate pressure in the rail via the pressure test port on the passenger's side. No matter what you do, there will be a small amount of fuel that leaks.
I will be here and available to field questions if you need some guidance. 512-777-2799. Either Adam or myself can assist

If I have a V7 tune, would I have to have it re-tuned or reflashed for E85?
Obviously it's better to dyno tune the car, but how safe is my current v7 (also have the V5) to use with this?

Hey all, looking to this kit as a potential economy booster due to anticipated tax refund. Could anyone of you:
1) Sakebomb - **PAID**
2) Demono1191 - **PAID**
3) Ramon - **PAID**
4) LSAMG - **PAID**
5) bentz69 - **PAID**
6) Huskymush - **PAID**
share a little more about install that hasn't already been covered in the few vids out?
I've read the other thread a few times but was wondering, I don't have headers and don't plan to b/c of CARB and SMOG testing here in CA. I've got 65,000 miles on my motor. Any strong reason NOW to upgrade the injectors if I really don't plan on doing anything more? I'd rather not if it saves me both the parts cost and labor of installing the new injectors.

ok I have had my kit on for almost a year now. I bought when it first came out. My car runs amazing on e85. I will say I had some trouble this winter with really cold temps and starting. When it hit in the single digit and low teens, my car had rough starts on full e85. I had no issues in the 30s. Blends had no issues either. Just those low low temps on full e85 my car would start rough. Mostly run 93 in my area in the winter due to the potential all the time of those low temps. Other then that, there is major power gains with e85 and with normal temps car runs amazing. As far as getting injectors, if you never plan on doing headers don't get them then. You can always get them later if need be. As far as install, if you are not doing injectors it is sooooooo easy. You will be done in 30 minutes. It is seriously plug and play. It's a great kit with great gains. You save money on fuel costs, but remember you use more fuel too. I get about 13-14 mpg mixed driving on e85. The cost for e85 for me is so cheap that I could get half that mpg before it wasn't cost effective. I do it for the power and the octane rating. The cost is a bonus.

That’s my kind of feedback/endorsement! Fuel prices in California are predicted to hit >$4.00/gallon by spring per GasBuddy so being able to “flex” would be so sweet. Thanks for the thoughts re injectors. Now even more enticing. Oh and are you able to use an app to read ethanol content with th EC branded control?

no I can't. There really isn't a need to know. The flex kit adjusts fueling accordingly to the percentage of ethanol. There was a guy who retrofitted an app sensor to the eurocharged kit. Seemed cool however didn't seem plug and play. To me why do I need to know. That's why it is a flex fuel kit.

I put my kit on last night. I did not change injectors. The only issue I had was freeing up one factory injector connector that didn't want to come loose. I also found it to be easier to loosen the 4 bolts holding the fuel rails. That allowed the fuels rails to move just a little which gave me more access to the injector connectors.
I had a quarter of a tank of 93 octane so I drove to the nearest E85 pump and filled up. After driving awhile it leveled out and showed 47% ethanol. Still a very noticeable upgrade in power as my TC light will confirm.

Hey got any closeup pics of how you mounted the fuel line sensor and the control box? How did you find dealing with new harness? Was it all straightforward once you laid it out? Did it all cleanup and tuck back under the foam easily? Silly questions overall I know but I’ve been curious.

The wiring is straightforward. I think the only mistake that could be made is mixing up the injector connections if you get in a hurry. The longest lead of connectors goes on the passenger side (United States). Then the longest set of those goes to the injector closest to the headlight and work your way to the rear of the fuel line. For example, if you get in a rush and don't check, you could connect the #8 injector to the #7 set of connectors. If you take your time and lay out the harness and double check, you won't have an issue.
I found it easier to loosen the fuel line just so I'd have a little movement to get to the injector plugs. When you get everything connected definitely neaten the wiring up with zip ties. That'll help the foam padding sit flush when you put it back on. The foam padding on the drivers side did sit a little higher than stock but the air box still went back on normally. I'll snap some pics of the fuel line and module this weekend. I just stuck the module down beside the strut tower like it shows in the DIY video.

Personally i had to cut the rattle pad between the injectors and the spark plugs to get everything to tuck in correctly.
