Hey blkrocket

any luck with the brisk silver plugs? Should I just go with the recommended ones from them or the one step closer you got.

Got the new plugs. They are exactly the ones Weistec uses but cheaper. Up to you, I like the margin provided by going a step colder.

By the way, the new plugs run like a dream. Super smooth. Gapped at 040.

C63 AMG PP Station
I run IP coils at my 2012 C63 PP. you can feel the diffrence. Car is much more crispy and aggressiv. Feels more torque in low an mid range. I run this mode in a lot of my cars in the past and had always success with it.
Brands I used: IP Coils, Okada, TM Works
Cars I had equipped with those coils in the last 5 years:
C63 W204 PP, M2, M3, M5, Lotus Exige 350, Lotus Exige S, BMW 540i, BMW 550i, Subaru STI several models, Mitsubishi EVO 9, X5M, 370Z, GTR

What plugs did you end up going with?

yes I saw that just wondering if you tried both and if there was a difference.

or did you just buy 1 plug to see and not run a set

Yeah after doing research on all the coding I thought I had stumbled on the secret cold plug. Buried in some of the tech specs it specifically showed as a preferred plug for the M156 so I ordered 8. When I got them they were longer than the old Weistec plugs I had, and I eventually found those plug #'s and ordered them instead. I'm sure the LS plug works, and it is a step colder, but I wasn't sure what the extended insulator would do for performance or longevity. If you want to try them and report back on logs etc (can we even see combustion chamber temp, I'm guessing no) I'm happy to send them to you, they're just sitting in a box in my closet doing jack.

I'm going to hold off and first try the plasma coils on the OEM plugs.then try the one step colder plugs.

It's expensive, but if it works well, then it won't be so bad.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I absolutely love your rationale for the purchase

In about a week or two you might wish you held off on that 1600 for something else...however good luck with the coils and please do keep us posted

Cool. Would be great to see back-to-back dyno runs if you’re able to do it.

I will schedule a dyno but it will also include the remus exh.

I just got a message saying they will start building the coils now.looks like they are made to order and is slowing me down trying to book the dyno.

Coils are installed and are a go...just got back from the track and the car is an animal.

I went full catles and my first pass was 120 trap speed but the clamp i used on the straight pipes let go and i needed to limp the car home.

I'm seeing 425gs per second at 7400 rpms and will post my log soon.

Interesting....

Have you recently updated the tune with OE Tuning? MAF numbers look like a V7 tune.

I'm asking because in my mind I'm trying to work out how much of the 'animal' was due to the coils, or tune

the tune on the car is a 3 year old base stage 2 header file.

I kept everything same but took out all the cats and installed the plasma coils.

v7 runs a **** load more timing than this lol

I'm tempted to run the stage 2 race map but dont have race gas.

Spooky. I'm still very confused but I don't want to go off topic.

good to hear you've felt a difference though was it 118mph last time out?

yes but worse conditions.best way to describe the coils is the car runs smoother and a little more pop on the but dyno.Im trying to max out the car on pump gas before going on the race map and race gas.
