Data Card: Code 006/911??
I posted this on the 205 forum, but afterwards thought maybe this forum might be a better place for answers.
So I'm looking at possibly upgrading from my modded P31 204 sedan to a 205 S sedan. I found one that fits most of my required options, but I found (2) codes on the data card that I cannot find a lot of info on.
006-SPECIAL TEST VEHICLE
911-MAJOR ASSEMBLIES FOR TEST VEHICLES
My initial thought it this car was used for AMG driving events. As the Carfax says one owner but has no info until 2017 with almost 3k miles (car is a 2015), it is being offer as CPO.
Had new tires and rear pads/rotors changed at 9800 miles.
Any thoughts on the codes above? Thinking maybe I should pass on it.

Searching around the internet, seems it might be a press/demo vehicle that they loan out to magazines etc for testing - if that is true, I would run away from it.

There was a thread in here once where some people tried to argue that the Driving Academy cars had some sort of inherent value in their heritage. The truth is that anyone who has gone to a DA event, or with half a brain for that matter, can tell you that they are constantly beat on - hour after hour day after day - to within an inch of their lives. They are probably a marginally better buy than a press car due to being used in a controlled environment and the premium maintenance attention they get. Some of the W204 variety were fitted with the upgraded Black Series (44O) cooling kit. May be worth the risk to you, personally I’d find something else.
