16 inch drag rim

Hi I am interested in ordering a set of rears im for my c63 I have currently used a 17x8 et 45 rim but i am interested in a 16 inch so I can come down to a smaller tire then the 275 I ran last year. Any input appreciated these are going to be didicated street strip rear set up. what specs would need to be ordered to clear rear brakes et width and back spacing thanks.

I think you will need to change out your rear calipers to regular c class calipers. I am sure one of the guys that race will be along to help with the specs of the wheels and tire sizes brands etc.

if like to keep the stock caliper if possible since the rim would be custom there has to be a way to build it to fit I'd think. If not had anyone ran the 245 Micky in 17 inch over the 275 ?

What profile tyres were you running on your 17's. I see they were 275.
Did you have any rubbing with the tyres on 45 offset rim.
I want to get Hoosier 275/40/17 tyres, but need to get the correct rim so nothing rubs.

no rubbing stock height but Iv read that a 275 is to much tire for our transmission with a smaller tirecan achieve a better 60 ft my best so far with the 275 is 1.83

Thanks for the feedback. I've also heard that the 275 is too much.
But over in the States, you guys have proper tracks.
Here in **** hole South Africa, my local strip in Cape Town, has very poor traction. So I need all the help I can get.

Have a look at the Hoosier 225/45/17
Has a diameter of 24.8" so should be able to 60ft better
