suspension spring how to tell top or bottom?

Hi.
I am planning to uninstall a coil over kit (was installed by the previous owner) and install the stock suspension.
I have all the stock parts, but can't figure out few things.
First, for springs, how to tell which side is top and which side is bottom?
For the front spring, both sides looks different (one side is more flat than the other side.) but can't figure out which side is top just by looking at it.

For the rear spring, both sides looks the same, so maybe there is no top or bottom side on the rear spring?
I see some color paint marks on the spring. yellow, pink etc... Are these marks indicates anything?

Also, for the front stabilizer link, I know which one is left or right by looking at the part number. But how do I know which side is top and which side is bottom?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Tighter/closer coils end on top. There is also sometimes a white dot of paint on that end. That should also be the ‘flat’ end.

How about the rear spring? To me it seems that there is no top or bottom. Both side looks the same. Am I right?

Same rules apply for the rear. If there are no differences then it doesn’t matter.

Color spots identify different springs (strength and length). There's a specific part # associated with each color.
