Hello everyone, first post but have been snooping around trying to learn.

Current owner of an 2010 S4 but going to look at a Canadian 2012 C63 sedan this weekend.

The car is located at an independent dealer so information is lacking. I was looking to see if I could get some help decoding the VIN. The dealer says the vehicle has the P31 package but I’m unsure. I called my local MB dealer and they weren't any help.

Also wondering if this vehicle would be affected by the head bolt issue? Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it.

ah seems it does have the bad head bolts as the engine number is below the cutoff, should I avoid or is this something I can fix?

Thanks for that Valve, I have forwarded the info to merc to see if it ever had the work done but they wont tell me unless I have the V5.

I'm going to buy it anyway, and take a warranty out on the vehicle. seems the better ones are just out of my price range
