Heading to the drag strip in a couple a weeks with my 09 C63 and a buddy of mine has a spare set of 285/40R18 Nitto NT05R available. I was wondering if they would fit on the OEM 18s in the rear? The car is factory ride height. Finally anyone have any experiences with this tire?

Way too big for the 63. I have used the nitto nt555r before in 283/25/18 and even that is big.

Much better off with a stock size tire. Depending on your mods a small drag radial is your best bet.

The biggest I would run on stock wheel is 275/35/18 our wheels are not wide enough and even the 275 bulges out of the wheel a little.
