New C63 Owner - a few questions...
After what feels like many, many years of just looking at C63's I'm now the proud owner of a 2012 Estate with the P31 Pack.
I do have a few questions though, having spent some time in the car:
I do have a few questions though, having spent some time in the car:
- Knocks/Vibrations at idle - There are intermittent knocks or "taps" that I can feel through the brake pedal, that I only notice this when stopped a the lights idling. There doesn't appear to be any pattern to it either. Occasionally I'll hear/feel a brief griding noise also, which almost seems like the gearbox.
- Ticking Noise - I can hear a very light ticking noise, usually it's most apparent around 1200rpm. It doesn't seem to occur when there is no load on the engine (coasting/decelerating) at the same rpm however. When idling I can hear some ticking at the engine close to the engine cover also. I'm wondering if this is likely the direct injection, or, another issue that I should look into? I will upload a video also.
- Brake Pads - I see the Porterfield R4 S pads are the way to go? Are the part numbers any different for the P31 pack, or are the brakes the same except for the caliper colour?
