2012 C63 AMG
Vinyl wrap/coated rims?
Hi all,

I’ve got a black 2012 C63 (sedan) and was toying with the idea of getting the factory 16 spoke rims sprayed in black vinyl, thought all black would look good, and vinyl is relatively easy to remove so I’m not mucking up factory amg rims.

Anyone done this? How does the coating hold up to brake dust and can you keep them clean?

Look into Plastidip. Lots of people spray their cars and wheels with it.

There is a local wrap place that can do it (probably better than an off the shelf effort). More concerned around how well it will hold up. It’s cheap to do, about $350 all in.

You could do it yourself 5 times for that price.

Look into Plastidip if you just want to toy with the idea. $350 is the price to powdercoat wheels.
