Late model headlights/tail lights for W204 C63 AMG Wagon!
Hey I'm after some late model headlights and rear lights for my 2008 C63 AMG Wagon (W204). I've found the below on ebay but the seller of the headlights can't tell me if they'll fit mine as it's factory HID.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-2011-Mercedes-Benz-W204-C-Class-LED-Glossy-Black-Projector-Headlights-Pair/312042564285?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid =p2055119.m1438.l2649
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-2011-Mercedes-Benz-W204-C300-C350-LED-Brake-Signal-Reverse-Tail-Lights-Red/232703796091?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid =p2055119.m1438.l2649
Has anyone been able to find anything like the above that'll fit? Or will both of the above fit? Any help much appreciated!
Thanks

What sort of retrofit? For fitting into the body the photos of them fitted to a car on ebay looks identical to my shape. Are you talking wiring? Thanks.

1st things 1st,
Damn you and your ability to own one of the baddest and most beautiful rides on the planet.....i hope you can feel the EXTREME wagon envy right now fella!!!
Ok, now that that's out of the way....
cant tell from the pic of your ride that well but it looks like your factory lights ARE Bixenon(HID)...Is that correct???
if so then the headlights you linked will NOT work with everything getting along UNLESS you are willing to go through and rewire the internals as Daniel said. The projector in the link is a halogen projector(H7 most likely) while your factory bulb is a ballast fed D1S. This is NOT the critical issue though...the critical issue is that lights in the link are for factory halogen setups which have a 10pin connector on the back whereas the factory Bixenon's have a 14pin connector to support the additional functionality of the autoleveling, bixenon function as well as all the additional tasks the bixenon ballast performs. You see each of our factory ballasts is NOT really a ballast but a lighting computer which controls EVERYTHING about the forward lighting and also has a ballast built in. It IS possible to make them work but as Daniel will tell you it takes a GOOD bit of time to get it right, especially if you are not an automotive electrician AND you are having to work it out online or over the phone. If it were me i would (and if those ARE the factory bixenons) i would KEEP those lights but upgrade the HELL out of them. Throw them in the oven, open them up, swap out the projectors for a GOOD set like the Evox-R 2.0, a really good pair of D1S bulbs like the new Osram CBB units, paint the internals to match your ride, etc.....The sky is the limit once you get in there......below is a factory setup that doesnt really look or perform that factory at all!!!!
And as for the rear....
Forget those cheesy *** tails with the chrome "entrails", matte black is the way to go...i have these on my 09 and they are freaking AWESOME!!!!

Hanks everyone especially the extremely detailed response! You're a legend!
I do prefer the facelift taillights with the red horizontal bars but having trouble sourcing and also don't know which will fit and which won't.
Gutted about the headlights That's right though they are factory HID and do all the auto adjusting etc. I was wanting the aftermarket ones as I love the new model headlights with the aggressive angles and the LED running lights. How'd you get the running light in yours? I've split and modified headlights before but all the running lights I found were cheap sh*t and purple or super weak and barely visible during the day!

these are the ones in mine and they are THE best I've ever used....purest white light with ZERO yellow and bright as hell. Also, these are NOT switchbacks, the factory assembly has an amber turn signal bulb already...they come with TINT clear clips that fit a track on the bottom of the strip and TINY stainless screws to secure them... You cannot even tell they are there....
.....as for the lights you linked I DO like that design better as it is a bixenon setup which ALSO has a supplemental hi beam reflector same as OEM. IMHO the other lights and the factory FL lights are quite lacking without the additional hi beam. If you live in or do mostly city driving its not that big of a deal but when you get off the beaten path they just don't perform like the PFL does. But again, the internal wiring from 10pin to 14pin STILL makes it a job for someone committed to it.

Taillights already tinted by the way, I just want a more modern look than the glass glowing red from basic bulbs
Thanks

....and to the BEST of my knowledge there is no bolt in aftermarket replacement for the Bixenon headlamps.

Any chance you can send me some photos during the day of the running lights turned off and on please? Just want to see how bright they are as everything I've tried in previous cars they are never bright during the day and look kuk.

Do you have photos of the process once lights are apart or even of taking the lights apart? I've done it on a previous ute but not Mercedes C class. Was also trying to see which surface you screwed your brackets to - can you let me know?
Whilst they're apart is there something I can do to get the main glass crystal clear again? It's pretty hazy!
Thanks a lot. Keen to buy these asap and get them fitted!

Taking the lights out is literally a 5min job, several good diy vids on YouTube....as for opening them up they are factory sealed with butyl, NOT Permaseal so they open up super easy....200°f for 10min then use a pair of panel popper pliers to pry them open. I think I did an open up and inside post a few years ago with eyebrows in the title...as for the silicone white only tubes they are VERY visible even at noon on a clear day. Tried to get some different views and distances....also THERE IS ZERO FLICKER with the LEDS, it is just the camera timing syncing with the LEDs on occasion so they appear to flicker, they are instant on, instant off and constant intensity....perfect

Thanks for the videos, looks nice and bright for sure! Will definitely stand out good on the black
Very keen on a pair what length are yours? Are there close-by wires for ignition power to get normal on/off times for theDRL's if you can recall?
Thinking about doing mine going up the inside and then the top of the headlight (below eyebrow) on the inside wonder if they'll fit there..
Thanks once again!
