C63 Black Series Tuned by HDTuning
This C63 came in tuned by a competitor. He made 477/395. Once we were finished tuning him he left with 494WHP and 426WTQ on 91

Nice peak numbers
I have to ask...is that a really strong tune focussed in the powerband above 5000rpm, or is it a little weak at peak torque (just before or around 5000rpm)
It's quite unusual to see such a high peak power figure with such a comparatively low peak torque figure. Typically an M156 will drop around 70-80 hp from peak torque to the stock rev limit. This graph appears to drop around 50hp. Also...477 with 395 torque sounds crazy odd again...feels like it should have been ~450hp with that torque figure.
Hence why I asked....is it a really strong tune up top focussed above 5000rpm, or......? I'm not hating or trying to be a smartass. I pretty much did the same with my car on the dyno to save time/costs. I'm just curious to understand if you did the same thing, because the shape of that torque curve isn't normal for this motor.

Sorry, I only just saw your reply now. I didn't realise you had replied.
I'm still confused, but I'll take your word for it. What software did you use to tune it? Was the cam timing optimised?
Sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to get my head around it all.

Stopped by with HD this morning - Solid gains! +10 peak Whp & +34 wtq, +47 whp at 5500rpm
Baseline was EC V6 tune
Running ARH LTH, 200 HFC, X Pipe, Stock Resonator, AFE Pro Dry, CF intake
It was 63F (like we planned for the C63 lol) and about 80% humidity in Westminster CA
Feels great, but need to drive more. Thanks to the HD Guys!
