P30 Front break discs
I own a P30 2012 C63 AMG and I need to change the front discs.
Are these discs the same of a regular (non-P30) version?
Thanks a lot!

Not the same, the P30/P31 units are a little lighter and most people call them 1.5 piece rotors as they are not true 2 piece rotors. If it was my money, would just get the regular C63 rotors, fit right on, a little bit heavier (although not much) and are like $150 each instead of 800 each and you probably can't tell the difference, maybe if you track the car.

I wrote it like that as he said P30 but has a 2012 so a P31 car, but yes as AMG3.2 shows above, the early P30 cars had the real 2 piece instead of the 1.5 piece cheaper units of the later cars. (cheaper as in make not the price they charge you for them!)

I actually own a P30 2012 model (manufactured and delivered in late 2011). I have my decoded VIN printed. I know later 2012 models are P31.

Wow, vin codes will show P31 as P30? Thatīs news to me, thanks for the valuable info!
It means that since I got no LSD code line in my VIN code list (471), and itīs a P31, not P30, I got no LSD? Astonished! Thanks!

Are Zimmerman discs (400.3660.20 for my car) ok?
Probably not great as the original, but I want to know if they are a valid option (not BAD), since I have them in stock here in my city.

Also had good luck with the zimmermans, they are decent quality OEM spec.

I would, the 1.5 piece rotors are such a waste of money for almost zero performance gain and hardly even look any different - what I would probably consider would be the bembo p30 2 piece units as they are a fair bit cheaper than the P31 units and actually 2 piece.

So the p31 option code includes various BUILD codes, which is the P30, 923 (more hp), etc you see in the vin decode.
In the USA the LSD (471) was never included with the P31. It was always a stand alone option. Not sure about Brazil.
