Quote: are you running 2 sets of cats?
Quote: They're bottle resonators/mufflers after the high-flow cats.
Correct, Magnaflow 59959 high flow cats to Vibrant 17695 race mufflers.

Quote: Off topic -- do you like that Quick Jack?
I highly recommend the Quick Jack. I bought the BL-5000EXT model as that is the extended version which fits the C63. Raising and lower a car is a breeze now. Only time consuming part is moving jacks in place and then lining up the rubber blocks to the jack points. Unit is a little pricey but if you have PayPal credit, then you can buy it with the special 6 months no interest promo they have going on. That’s how I got mine.

That's exactly what this is. Increasingly abundant tech scene, cool Bay Area-ish culture, and housing cost that's about 20% of the Bay Area's. I'm thinking that's why a lot of Bay Area folks find Austin appealing.

Haven't experienced the weather yet though so I might eat my words and come running back.

Tried to fix a new 2" scratch that went through the paint after having my whole obsidian black car paint corrected and ceramic pro'd just 8 days ago. People just have no respect for other peoples' stuff these days.

I thought you could take a key and scratch up a car that has been ceramic pro coated... and it would just wipe right off? Did someone hit your car?

Ugh tell me about it. Fixed one door ding just to get another one the very next week, and I always park with one door safe and super far away. I feel your pain.

all those claims are BS. It's essentially just like having a couple coats of sealant that you don't have to redo. I just did it to complete a paint correction I had done, didn't want to go have sealant or wax put on every 2-3 months. One cool thing is if it's dirty I can get it pretty dam clean with just a pressure washer. Brake dust falls off too.

It just look like a car with wax or sealant on it. It's more about how good the paint correction job was before they put it on. I'll upload a little video tomorrow.

Welcome to Austin man! This heat will definitely take some time to get used to. If you can last through our Texas summers, you can pretty much beat anything.

You coming to Cars and Coffee this coming weekend? Last turnout was amazing!

Heh, after seeing my friend's new Land Cruiser (had ceramic pro applied already) hit the trails, we noticed pin striping from tree branches along both sides of his car. He was pretty unhappy. It seemed to make the car even slicker and added a bit more depth to the black paint. Its nice that it makes your car super easy to clean, but do you think it is worth the pricetag?

Thanks! Did some work on the car over the weekend, and the heat has literally left me speechless. Got myself a huge fan to make it more bearable but my god...

I might, but not sure yet! Where is it at? COTA?

Wet sanded the headlights and added Lamin X. The plastic seemed harder than Toyota or BMW lenses. I should have just bought new lenses and swapped them.

Small gift today. Crawled under her and bolted up another piece of Ultra Racing cross pieces.
The OE piece is surprisingly light and aluminum I believe. I’m just doing the whole kit piece by piece.
