2012 C63 transmission fluid change
I'm looking for a definitive answer, and haven't found much for this specific revision of the transmission. I plan on changing my trans fluid, but I want to make sure I get enough. This kit from FCP Euro only has 5 qts. Dealer says I need 6 qts, and 10 if I want to drain the torque converter. I don't have a TC. I don't trust the dealer's information. Does anyone know for sure how much fluid I need for the 2012 without TC? I don't think FCP Euro would sell a kit without enough fluid, but I just want to make sure. Has anyone used this kit for their 2012+? Also, does anyone have a good place to order the filler adapter from?

I just did my 2012 this month with 34710 km. I am glad I didn't wait any longer as the fluid definitely had a strong burnt smell and looked fairly dark. When I first drained the trans I measured the fluid and got 4.5 liters. I did buy six liters from the dealer (blue fluid for mine- Option code A89 Reduced Friction). I put all six in less a little bit left in the last bottle that my pump wouldn't pick up. I didn't measure what came out after it was warmed up to 45C but it looked like more than a liter to me. I think you will be fine with five liters. Maybe get an extra locally that you can return if five is enough.
I got my fill adapter from Amazon.com. It is a Mityvac MVA588 ATF Refill Adapter for $15.75 + $shipping.

Thanks Mort, i ordered the adaptor for my own change. Dont have a mityvac but will put clear pvc hose over the adaptor end and figure it out from there.
I also ordered the FCP kit and an extra litre incase.

Did mine last January... Used 6 liters in total. I used the adapter as well along with a garden pump and clear pvc hose. I tapped the pump and adapted a wheel stem and maintained3 to 5 psi of air using my air compressor to avoid pumping manually.

I bought this hand pump from Northern Tool to refill and it worked great. I also used the FCP kit with 5L. I didn't buy an extra liter, but you shouldn't need it unless you mess up and waste some. If you're accident prone and it makes you feel more comfortable, get the extra. The fluid is hard to find in stores, so that's something you have to think about.
