55 tech single fin grill question
Hi, guys. I just bought a single fin front grill for my PFL from 55tech. It comes with the star and star holder/basket thingy unassembled. I looked on youtube for a vid, but couldn't find one that showed how to install the star holder and the star. I may be mentally challenged, because I cannot seem to get it assembled, and I don't want to break something. Plus, the tabs don't make sense and don't seem to line up either (wondering if they sent me the wrong parts). Can someone please chime in and let me know how the hell I assemble this thing (grill + star holder "basket" + star)?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Install the basket onto the grill first. It is like a rotate then lock kinda thing. Once the basket is on the grill, install the star onto the basket. If I remember correctly this is how I did it. I had to use more force than what you would think, but I got it. Just take you time. Also, if you start to have a loud whistle on the highway, put some window seal between the hood and the top chrome piece. I can send you pics if needed.

Thanks a lot. From what you tell me, I believe they sent me the wrong parts because the basket can't turn and lock into place, as it is barely even large enough in diameter to fill the hole in the grill. Jason at 55tech actually replied to my email and "will take care of it", but part of me is thinking I should just return it and notify my credit card company. I'll keep everyone posted here just as a general FYI.

Just to close the loop, the problem was they sent me the wrong star. They have sent me the correct one and it was simple to put together. I guess I'm not as dumb as I thought.
