I've just got this message on my car today. Normally on my car, 2013 C63, when you start, it tightens the front seat belts. I’d noticed recently that the driver’s side mechanism was struggling a bit and today, it doesn’t tighten at all. Passenger belt still tightens. Has anyone had this issue? The manual just says to take it to a dealer.
I wonder how much it would cost to replace the drivers seatbelt pre-tensioner? Is this something an independent could fix? I’ve searched this forum and Googled but most people have had problems with other issues, not the seat belt.
