Repaint vs Resale
The front end of my car looks like it's been sandblasted. There are literally countless chips that dug away at the clear coat, and an additional significant number of chips that cut through the color to the primer/base of the hood/bumper. I'm thinking of repainting the car but wanted to see if there are any reasons I shouldn't? Currently the car is black, not the tricoat sparkly version. I'm thinking of painting it the glossy AMG Performance Studio yellow or satin black or gray but wanted to get your thoughts on how repaints will impact the resale value of the car.

Did you consider doing a wrap? You can experiment with a different look without having to worry about resale. You'll also provide some additional protection to your paint against further damage.

You can repaint the front end to match your current color, and then do a wrap 2 weeks later and still be in it for less than a paint change. A lot less. Then you get a bit of protection on the new paint itself and have not done anything but help your resale value when you take the wrap off when you do sale.

Can I make this an excuse to get a BS bumper? Can I install that without having the mess with the wheel arches?
