Rear end clunk noise.

Rear end clunk noise.
Started noticing a rear end clunk noise when taking off from a stop and going from drive to reverse with the brakes held. The noise is more prodominate when the car has been driven and hot. After a cold start and short drive, it's quiet.
Also, going into a parking lot over a curb I've heard a sort of crunching noise. I've looked around, all the bushings and mounts feel tight. The flex discs are fine. I took the drive shaft out, the slip yoke splines were bent and binding up. I replaced that and put new fluid in the diff. Fluid was a bit dark but no chunks or filings.
Im thinking it might be time for a diff rebuild. Where can I order ring, pinion, seals, bearings and a wave track to replace the factory lsd?
Anyone have wiz docs for diff removal?
Curious if any other drag racers or blower cars have had to rebuild the diff or problems like this? I have 110,000km on it now.

Most likely its your rear subframe bushings. There are four main bolts that holds your rear suspension and rear diff in place. Everything bolts to the subframe and the subframe bolts to the car.
If the bushings are bad they will clunk going over bumps, and at speed. Another indication will be rear tire wear, as the subframe moves around throwing off your rear wheel alignment.

Any update on this? Have a similar issue, clunk from drive into reverse but also a clunk when come off accelerating and that first down shift. Dealer said driveshaft, replaced it and still there. Euro performance shop then said it seems like its inside the tranny, got a second opinion at a euro indy....they said rear diff. Go to another merc dealer and they say inside the tranny. lol So here I sit researching before dropping more money on a maybe.

if you go to about 20 minute mark in this video, might give you few clues. Could re-produce the problem by putting on hoist and putting into drive and using brake etc.

I ended up with a new remanned transmission. I went to a transmission specialist; they disconnected the driveshaft to test and found that the clunk was still present. Most likely that is what you are gonna have to replace or rebuild.
