Common Problems with the C63 AMG
HI,
Wanted to get a thread together on common problems that the car has so new owners are aware. Lets start a list of common problems
(Think: What problems do people seem to be making the most threads on? Rattles? Squeaks? Sensor issues?)
Please help.
I did not find the right solution from the internet.

It’s all over these forums. It’s easy.
1. Headbolts if 08-11
2. Cam adjuster rattle on start up few seconds
3. Broken cam adjuster with constant ticking sound at idle and increases with revs. Much louder then a bled down lifter.
4. Ticking sound at idle- bled down lifter. Can go away with driving. If doesn’t need replacement.
5. Primary o2 sensors on this car when they go bad cause major misfires at idle and make the car barely drivable. Common on header cars but happens to non modified as well. Code is typically po300 multiple random misfires with some pin pointed cylinders.
6. Intake manifold gasket. Cause inconsistent idle. Check by spraying brake cleaner around where the manifold meets the top of the engine at the seems.
7. Pulsating or vibration in brake pedal. It’s a v8 get used to it. As long as the idle is fine and no engine lights.
8. Earlier versions of injectors q1-q4 prone to being stuck open. Causes hydro lock. Remedy buy new Bosch injectors or latest version of mb injectors. Or risk it it’s not insanely common.
There could be more all i have for now.
