Stereo connect capabilities
Hi everyone. First post so bare with me.. Just bought a 09 AMG.. 100k KMS.. got everything paired with my phone, unfortunately won't play any of my phones music, the car came with the MB connect cables in the glove box for the 3mm wire to head set jack on phone... I'm assuming there is no other way besides changing the cars head unit to run wireless???

I believe the pre facelift cars can only use bluetooth for phone calls not for music streaming, for music you have to connect the phone to the cable.
The work around to this is something like the tune2air (bovee) device or other devices that plug into the cable in the glovebox and then you can pair to the device and stream via bluetooth.

I have an '09 as well. If you don't have the iPod kit with older 30-pin connector, then you can only use the 3mm jack. If you get the iPod kit, you can buy Tune2Air, a bluetooth adapter powered by the 30-pin connector. It works well but has some syncing issues from time to time. This morning I had to go into my Settings -> Bluetooth and tap on the Tune2Air to get it to "wake up" and connect. I usually do "random play" but sometimes that reverts to doing "alphabetical play" and the only solution is to go into iTunes and manually set the random song selection.
