Free power mod tip!!!

If you guys have a battery over 5 years old you are losing power and torque .

I couldn't figure out why my car felt dull lately and thought it was from the weather but I logged my cars voltage as I revved the engine and the voltage would drop under 11 volts.

I just put in a new battery and the car feels strong and meaty in the throttle responce.

Would be good to know what voltage you are logging now with a new battery.

I'll get back to you asap. Another thing my car would do is dim the dome lights when revving the motor

How long did you have your battery out? If the trip counters reset, its more than likely your TCU adaptations and long term fuel mixture adaptations were reset as well, making the car much more responsive as it learns again

EDIT: Just read about your car dropping voltage when you rev. That sounds like an issue with the alternator, not the battery? Does it still do it? When the car is running it shouldn't dip below mid 13V

I connected a battery tender so I didnt lose power while changing the battery.

my battery was made in 2011 so it's going on 7 years old.

edit

I think our alternators are on a clutch when you go wot they disconnect
