The other viewpoint is one I was just introduced to recently by the guy in charge of the body shop I use. He did my metal rear fender widening that I insisted on because I didn’t want fiberglass. We were talking about my options for going wider, and he actually prefers fiberglass. The reason is that it is VERY easy to repair. For my car which gets banged up on track more often than I’d really like it to, having to constantly fix little things with the metal is much more difficult than doing so on fiber would be. That’s why I’m looking at fiber now rather than doing a metal widebody. I don’t care about keeping it all close to original anymore, I just need width for functionality. Fiber is cheap and easy to work on. Good combo for some of us.

Im all for these conversion if they are done right.
If you are putting cheap stuff that wont last and will wap than Im sorry that you are doing that to your perfectly nice car.
Cant tell what yours will be until its done and tested.
Post the finished product when done, so far the fitment looks good.

nittos just came in they look crazy. The fittment is spot on but you to have to trim the inner fender. It barely rubs. Once thats cut its good to go. Who ever tells you you cant run a 345mm tire. Heres your proof and look at the fitment. 19x12 et25

Sorry i haven't posted to this thread in a while. I was waiting for oem black series parts from Mercedes. I decided to go with genuine panels. The fiberglass definitely has the look of the black series but there is so much work to make them look good and fit correctly and With the oem panels its pretty much bolt on other than the rear quarter panels. Here are some pictures of the rear quarter panel test fitted.

I'd love to see you come back in here and defend fiberglass after OP switched to an OEM kit.
Duraflex is trash, no matter how much smoke your body shop blows up your *** lmao

If OP bought the SR66 fiberglass kit I mentioned, he would have had perfect fitment at fraction of price. I know people who have installed those kits in their GARAGE and they look amazing. ~$4k for whole kit on eBay.
Duraflex just doesn't have the best quality fiberglass, but that doesn't mean fiberglass is bad overall.

What kind of hardware did you use to attach the rear Fender on the right side and the rocket panel
