2-Step Launch controller
Is there a tune or aftermarket 2 step launch controller available for the 08+ C63 cars that did not have launch control built in?
I would like to know if any of the companies that tune these cars have that feature in the program or if its possible to install an aftermarket one.

I'm not sure our gearbox can work with a 2-step. I just brake torque the car and then release the brake and feather the throttle to launch. the facelift cars have launch control because they have a wet clutch instead of a torque converter.

I plan to head to the strip next month, so I will be able to tell you that later. On the street I use about 1200-1300 rpm. any more than that and the launch goes up in smoke.

I tried "RACE-START" the other day on our 2012 (non-P31)...
With Traction-Control still on, it just spun the tires for ~2 seconds / then cut fuel / then back to spinning for another second or so until it hooked.
RPM's came up to 2500-3000. Tires are (looks away & hides face) Chinese though, not any trusted brand-name (yet).
YMMV

2011 and earlier models don't have launch control due to the fact that they use a traditional torque converter and are therefore limited by the converter stall speed. That said, these cars make enough torque down low that brake torque-ing is enough to light them up anyways.
FYI, 2-step launch control systems are intended for transmissions that use a clutch to decouple the engine and the transmission input shaft. That's why you see these on manuals and dual clutch transmissions, as well as the unusual Mercedes MCT auto, which uses a wet start-up clutch in lieu of the torque converter on 08-11 C63's.

Launch control is junk anyway. Just brake boost the bïtch.
