Looking to “trade in” for a C63.
Hi, I’m new to the forums. I am currently in an Audi, and thinking about trading it in for a C63 AMG. I always been a huge fan of Mercedes, but I never had one. The C63s Being one of my favorites, i couldn’t find one in my price range at the time, when I bought my Audi. I just started looking again and I found a few online within my range, and was wondering how the higher mileage C63s hold up. One of the cars has 110k. To all the high mileage owners, if any what problems have you had during you experience?

likewise I grew up with Audi's, living in Maine - a few 5cyl S4/ S6 avants and then 3 RS6's and an A8 W12....
if traction in snow isn't a concern, I can't say enough about the 6.2 motor and C63 in general...... it's just too much fun and a far better soundtrack, other than the RS7 or RS6 that europe won't let us have....
I highly suggest driving one to see if it fits your driving style and how you fit in the car..... that said I do miss some of the refinement of the Audi interiors...
if getting a 6.2 headbolts are important to factor in ...

Having owned both an Audi A4 and a C63 AMG, I would prefer the C63 over the Audi. Both interiors are on par with one another, although Audi has a better MMI then Mercedes COMAND system.
The engine in the C63 will bring a smile to your face, every time you smash the throttle. But the Audi is better in snow period, as the W204 was rear wheel drive only. It wasn't until after the W205 came out with all wheel drive.
But I think that you'll enjoy the C63, as it's a blast to drive.

I just got rid of my 4th E90 m3 and moved on to my first C63. I got lucky and got a P31 + LSD 13 with 8,700 miles....
E9x Vs C63
Engine
Usable torque, daily driveability - C63
High revving 5k + fun - E9x
Fuel economy - Tie (both suck)
Reliability - C63 by a little bit (rod bearings for E9x give the C63 the edge however the S65 is a great engine)
Cost of Maint - Tie (German performance cars AMG tax + ///M tax)
Transmission
Both DCT and 6 Speed are the winners with E9x
Interior
I do love the E9x simplicity however the C63 does have more refinement - C63
Information system (Idrive is much faster and easier IMO) - E9x
Exterior
Again, having 4 E9x m3's I love the simplicity of them, most importantly the rear flares on the E90 sedan which shows the subtle ///M look
*BUT the C63 again has more refinement and elegance to it - Slight but true C63
Exhaust
I know you all love the C63 exhaust, and its glorious, however my E90 m3 with a 6 resonated system sounded like the flat plane crank 8 out of the 350R
Stock for stock - C63
