Pano roof noise

Pano roof noise

Like many others have experienced, the pano roof of my car has been popping/cracking when going over a hard bump, uneven road or pulling into a steep driveway. Before I drop the headliner to tighten the bolts, I cleaned and lubed all the seals with krytox grease but it didn't help much.

I notice when the pano roof is titled up even the smallest bit and not completely closed, or completely open and moved into any position, the popping/cracking doesn't happen at all. Is this common for those who have this noise problem? Just wondering if its still a matter of tightening the bolts even if the noise goes away when its open vs closed.

Where do you apply the oil? Is there a diy? I’ve got this issue and noticed that slightly opening it keeps it from making the noise as well.

Slide the glass back and spray where it rides on, then lift up and spray from inside towards the back.

I suppose it could make sense that the glass slapping back and forth in the rails when going over the bumps. I'll give the oil a try before pulling the headliner
