Carbon ceramic brake question
Hello all, I am currently in the process of purchasing a CPO C63 S and have narrowed my selection down to a couple. One has carbon ceramic brakes and the other doesn't. I wondering if it's possible do a steel/iron rotor conversion on the carbon ceramic model? I will be using this vehicle as my daily driver and see no need for the added maintenance expense of replacing carbon braking components. Thank's for your advise!

Wrong section. This is the W204 section. But swapping the CC rotors for iron shouldn’t be difficult. I know GT3 guys do it a lot. There should be a company (girodisc or racing brake) that should make a rotor you can use. You may even be able to use stock steel rotors.

Thanks for the advise! With that being said, I may pull the trigger on the model with cc brakes and swap the rotors out until I’m ready to sell the car. Take care

Hmm, this article says carbon fiber breaks need less maintenance, but when replacement comes due, it's a massive expense. Would it really be worth it to pay for a steel conversion?

I have reached out to racing brake to see if they offer a conversion. If so, I will swap out the cc rotors and put them up until it’s time to sell the car.
