Good deal on a ‘12 P31?
One owner. 31k miles. Every option except LSD
Is 750 a month for basically fully loaded P31 car a decent deal? It’s easily affordable but want to know if it’s stupid to pay that type of money for a 12 c63 I honestly don’t know.

Assuming it is a 60 month finance at $750/mo. ($45,000 for the car after interest, again assuming), it is not a good deal AT ALL. Maybe if it was in the $36-38k range it'd be more reasonably priced.

Yea I didn’t really want to get into all the details but it’s 60 months with a little bit of negative equity (long story for another post). And because it’s at a dealer with negative equity involved the rate is not the best.

I don’t think anyone can advise you on this without the hard facts on the car and price. Too many variables we don’t know. $750 could be a great deal if it’s a new one with no miles and short amortization on a loan.

The more I type it out the more I realize how bad it sounds lol so I’ll probably pass on it as reality keeps hitting me.

I just picked up a 2013 C63 AMG sedan fully loaded, except illuminated doorsills, with 39k miles for $36K from a private party. Three owner car with service records.
For $45K you should keep your eye out for a 507 edition.

The price of the car isn’t bad. The monthly payment from what I’m reading is due to you rolling in negative equity I’m assuming from another vehicle making the cost of the loan not the car 45k. My opinion terrible idea. 750 for a 2012 yea too much but that’s partially your fault cause 34 for that car is pretty decent.

I've bought 2 2013 C63s. Both pretty much the same option wise except color (that is to say loaded). Last year I the one I got i paid 38k for and it had ~35k miles. The one I got in July had 27k miles and a 1 year factory warranty for 41k.

Hey window shopper (op), mid/low 30's for a low miles facelift p31 is a pretty good deal. What's messing the deal up is the fact you owe on the trade in. You could buy a pfl one for mid 20's and your negative equity would push into the 30's and make it sound like a shyt deal. I suggest PP sale on your current car so you can almost break even. G money you have 2 c63's?

Nah, my first one was totalled and they paid me out 42k so I went and got the one with warranty. It also has the white leather interior where as my last was black leather 👍🏻

In April. Long story short I had a homeless guy try to pull a Russian-style insurance fraud... He just stepped out from some bushes in front of me at 1AM in the rain... Rather than mow him down I slid into a curb... Ended up being $30k worth of damage.
Luckily no one got hurt, and I was paid out more than the cost of my first C63. So not all terrible I suppose.

The negative equity car is the worst thing ever. To help my dad out (personal reasons won’t go into detail) I took his brand new car into a lease to help him out and gave him this lease car. Never told him it was a lease and he killed it on mileage. It’s a 4 year lease. I have one more year on it and it literally is parked two blocks away from my house because it is almost over mileage. I could suck it up pay the car off this year and return it and look for a car later or for an extra ~100 dollars for the next 60 months I can get into a c63 drive it for awhile and just be a happy person again.
The bank also told me after I pay my obligated monthly payment I can make principal only payment so I am thinking of just paying the negative equity I rolled in by like March and none of that will go to interest but my payment will remain the same.
Anyway I walked out on the deal yesterday and they are desperate to sell me the car so we will see what happens.
But the deal overall is not the best and I agree with that but as a car enthusiast and not being able to drive something I enjoy for past 4 years it eats my heart away and knowing I’m paying a ridiculous amount of money for a generic car kills me. My emotions are really taking over my wallets but I’m trying to stay calm.

I'll tell you the same thing I tell my wife. Pay off what you have first. That gets you out of the hole you already dug for yourself. Pick up an extra job or find another way to make money. If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to do it.

Bad news is I’m broke.
Other good news is I’m so happy with the purchase and my final numbers.
Other good news is bank allows principal only payments when the monthly obligation is paid. So I will be paying the rest of the equity next month. So that means my payment is a little high but when I pay off the neg equity via principal only payment my term goes down by a lot.
most people won’t agree with my decision but driving this thing has made me the happiest man alive. I will probably pay the car off early anyway. Ended up paying 41k out the door for the car and I’m very happy. And I met the original owner who put a Black Series Oil cooler on the car and upgraded all the brakes and rotors. He also told me he has spare parts he will give me and invited me to his house to chat. He ended up buying a M5 competition pack.
