Need Help with Radio Codes 2013 C63 W204
Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of buying a used USA Version (just incase that makes a difference) 2013 C63 and I told the dealer that I need to radio codes and he tells me that the car does not come with any codes. He also advised that he spoke to the local Mercedes Benz Dealership and gave them the VIN# and the Mercedes Benz Dealership advised him that the radio codes are built into the radio. Is this true? To me, that does not make any sense. If that is not true can you please tell how to obtain them.
Oh, BTW I also looked in the Command and Owners Manual and did not find any information regarding resetting/entering radio codes either
Thanks,
Tim

Here is the answer for the radio code question I asked above, so if anyone else needs to know here it is.
The radio looks at the VIN number when ignition is switched on. If the VIN number has changed then it will say ‘anti theft activated’ and this has to be unlocked with Xentry Diagnosis and a very long anti theft code. This means you will never need this code unless you are putting a new radio in. The code is registered in the Mercedes VeDok database when radio was installed. So you don’t need to know the code and even if you did it would be no use to you unless installing your radio in another car!
