My Genius - Any Value
Guys I no longer have my 2009 C63 but have a My Genius handheld sitting in my garage. Does this hand held have any value or should I just toss it? Thanks.

I believe that there is quite a large fee to unlock the handheld and only the original tuner can perform the operation required to unlock it.

If your thinking of using it, call the tuning company you are thinking of using and find out how much they charge to have it unmarried - dimsport charges them a fee to do it, the tuner has value, but after the cost of the tune and having it unmarried you are only about $100 bucks from the price of the tune including the tuner, but it varies a bit between tuning companies.

So i went back and forth from a few different company. These are the issues about buying someone else's My Genius.
1. My genius that you Purchased from someone else. Has to be de-tuned from previous car before even asking a tuning company anything.
2. If the my genius you purchased used the car it was tuned on was removed ( Flashed to stock )
3. You need to have buyers full name for OE tuning you also need to buy one of there tunes... Eurocharge is the same way.
If you are going OE tuning i have an extra my genius i will sell for super cheap
My genius are locked to a tuning companys master computer. You can't use OE tuning my genius and buy a euro charged tune and expect it to work because it wont.
My two cents because i tried doing this
