Coding required for turn signal module on bixenon headlight?
Hey guys,
I got water intrusion into my driver's side bixenon headlight from a big unseen puddle and had to replace the hid ballast and turn signal module. I got lucky in finding a ballast on eBay for $37 and that was a direct swap with no coding but I didn't get so lucky with the turn signal module. When I replaced the old turn signal module (#A2189009901) with the new unit (#A218900910380), the led turn signal in the headlight doesn't flash but the rest of the lights (mirror and rear taillights) do. I cleared the codes with iCarsoft MBII before turning the car to the on position and testing the turn signal. No error message appears on the dash as if there was a turn signal module fault with the new part. If I plug in my old part, the led turn signal in the headlight flashes as it supposed to. (Old unit still flashes the outside lights as normal just the inside dash indicator flashes quickly as if there is a short in the module.) Does the new replacement module require coding with the STAR Diagnostic computer? Thanks.

The long and the short is that you purchased an incompatible part that cant be coded by anyone---you need 218 900 99 01 80---the 80 designates reman only.
Within you VIN is SA code 615 and 802 and that leads to the part that I suggested------you need to visit a dealer to understand the correct parts for your car as the FUYAA is expensive

2189009901 is valid part number and get superseded by 218900910380:
