Seriously... rock chips

I haven't driven my car in about a month and just got to do some cleaning on it today and noticed that there are countless small rock chips on the sides... Not sure how the physics works with rocks hitting on the sides, but how do you all with black cars keep the paint clean? Is installing clear bra on the entire car the way to go? Should I add $4000 to my next car's budget for a full wrap?

Not sure about the sides, but my entire front is covered in chips. I bought it with plenty though and am too lazy to get it repainted.

A clear bra, only for the front bumper (and maybe the hood) would be ideal really. Don't need to do the whole car unless you want invisible coat matching.

Ill probably just get a full front end respray from a quality shop, then again in another 3/4 years if i still have the car.

I had 1/2 quart of single stage matched paint made up and i use a toothpick to put it in the chips so they are black atleast.

If it’s on the sides it’s from the tires swinging up rocks. Especially if you have aftermarket wheels that sit further out than stock, it will get chips

I clear bra'd the entire car when I got it. It has light chips up front, but I just left those, had the paint corrected and Xpel applied with ceramic pro. The car get's used daily, and after 1 year it's holding up very well. The bra definitely blocked a few nicks that would have otherwise hit the paint.

I did it mainly because I know the lunar blue color is gonna be a ***** to paint match, so I decided to avoid having to repaint as much as possible.
