C63 W204 Esp fault?
hey Guys and Girls
New to the Forums so Hi! My merc has developed (an intermittent) esp,run flat, abs,no speedo, no (electronic) fuel gauge but still has the float working fault. After googling (as all us non mechanical types do) i sent to my local garage who i know well. They advised with the fault codes found it was most likely the ESP Control Module but instead of just replacing it its best to get it sent off and tested. The results have come back... '' we cant find a fault with the unit''. I believe this maybe due to the fault being intermittent by this i mean it wont go if the light have come on if I turn the car off and on i have to wait 2-3 hours then the fault will go but then anything from 10 secs to days later of driving it will come back and has progressively gotten more frequent.
Ive seen many reasons for this, from the esp module being faulty to steering and brake light sensor/switch and even the key causing the issue.
I would just like some help from people who have had this fault and what their resolution to this is as it seems to have many reasons most being simple less costly fixes.
Any ideas would be helpful. I live in Wiltshire near Trowbridge if anyone is close by and has used/knows people that have fixed this issue and are willing to help.
Sorry my first involvement here is an issue but im hoping for many more miles to be covered this summer
Cheers
