Full dyno tune vs flash tune

Full dyno tune vs flash tune
Seeing as most C63s work quite well with a flash tune, going from an easy 425HP - 516HP, is there any real advantage to do a full custom tune on the dyno.
I was talking to the MB service advisor, and he basically said dont waste your money on a full dyno tune, as there is only little to be gained apart from paying for extra dyno time.
On another note, has anyone used the guys at celtic tuning?

if you have full bolt on's...a full tune will net a few more HP than an off the shelf tune. if you're stock, it'll be a waste of money. also for a full dyno tune, you'll have to weigh the price per hp ratio...a few hp isn't really worth it in my eyes.

I’ve seen a 20 plus wheel gain over a standard base map tune for a dyno tune. Plus your car runs better and is optimized for your location. It’s by far the best way to go. I agree on a way unless you are full bolt on running different fuel that’s how they are getting these optimized 20 to 30 wheel gains over base maps.

To this end, thinking of making the trip to NJ to visit GoLabWorx for a custom tune. Any m156'ers have experience with Kevin? Looks like they are doing interesting stuff.

It really depends what you have done. If you are doing simple stuff like ROW and tune only, a dyno tune is not going to give you a major bump in power. With my limited modifications, EC V7 gave me 429WHP. I had Jerry dyno tune it when he was in NY, and he was able to get up to 438 WHP. 9HP is hardly worth it, but it was good to see how well the V7 tune was dialed in for otherwise (relatively) stock cars, and to see that the AFRs were where they should be, if not slightly rich.
